Make some snowmen who won’t make your hands cold!
One of our new favourite books is Snow Day by Richard Curtis and illustrated by the wonderful Rebecca Cobb.
So I decided to make up a batch of super simple salt dough with added sparkle so we could make our own snowmen and snow creatures.
All you need is:
1 cup salt
1 cup plain flour
Up to 1 cup water
Put the salt and flour in a mixing bowl and add half the water. Start mixing and add more water as needed until you get a pliable dough.
I made double the quantity and added ΒΌ cup of silver glitter too.
Add water to salt, plain flour and glitter.
Dough ready to go.
Use buttons, sticks, carrots and raisins or anything else you find to make snowmen features.
I also cut up some sparkly pipe cleaners to use for hair, legs or arms.
The boy making his snowman.
I cut a long thin strip of felt for a scarf too.
Our snowmen and snow creatures.
Our snowmen army.
