Paper Punch Collage

Make some colourful Christmas cards with hardly any mess.

The boy has been off school with chicken pox so I wanted to find something simple to make without any paint or mess. So we got started on our Christmas card making.

Over the last couple of months we’ve made some beautiful decorated papers and it was good fun sorting through them all to find papers to make our snowflake cards.

What you’ll need for this activity:

Decorated papers
Scissors
Paper punch (we used a snowflake punch)
Gluestick
Glitter (optional)

We also made a few cards with a star punch and a flower punch.

Our decorated papers (marbled and painted).

All you need are scissors, a paper punch and a gluestick. Glitter is optional!

Punch shapes out of the decorated papers and keep the punched out pieces to turn into squares or strips.

The boy called this a snowstorm card. Large square of decorated paper with lots of small punched out squares on top.

Punched out squares on a grid.

Layer punched out squares on top of different colour squares and glue punched out shaped on top.

We had fun with this project!
