Dog Biscuits

Make some yummy biscuits for the pooch in your life.

We don’t have a dog of our own but we have many in our extended family and lots of doggy friends who live in our road.

The boy and girl decided to make some dog treats for their four legged pals.

Ingredients:

Makes approx. 25 dog biscuits, depending on size of cookie cutter.

300g wholemeal flour
1 egg
200 – 240ml beef or chicken stock

A small handful of any of the below:
3 rashers cooked streaky bacon, chopped
Small handful cooked chicken, chopped
Small handful grated cheese
Handful of rolled oats

Cookie cutters
Baking trays lined with baking parchment

What to do:

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Put all the ingredients, except the stock, in a bowl and mix.

Pour half the stock in and mix. Continue to add gradually until it forms a sticky dough. You may not use all of the stock.

Roll out on a lightly floured surface.

Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.

Place on parchment lined baking trays and bake for approx. 10 minutes until lightly browned at the edges.

Cool before serving.

Remember these are an occasional treat for your doggy.
